We fix the performance bottlenecks plaguing your game project

What we offer

The PlayBoost team will find and fix the biggest performance bottlenecks slowing down your game project and codebase. We improve FPS (frames per second), reduce or eliminate lag spikes, and reduce load times. We effectively optimize for memory and performance on iOS, Android, Web, VR and similar resource-constrained platforms.

By benchmarking and analyzing both your codebase and runtime performance on the target device(s), PlayBoost will identify the top areas of improvement. Most issues can be fixed with simple C#, scene, or shader code changes, which we will perform. Others issues may require process changes which our experts can coach your team to adopt.

How it works

We request Read/Write access to your project’s source control repository (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket). See how.. This enables us to review the code, make builds for testing, and push changes.

We also request a direct line of communication to the development team (Slack, Discord, Teams) so we can ask questions about the project and the codebase.

We leverage Unity’s built-in script and rendering profiler, as well as 3rd-party software, to analyze the project and identify the top performance bottlenecks. We document all current performance metrics along the way.

We draft an action plan with a prioritized list of issues within our power to fix—along with the expected improvements. We review the plan with your team and discuss any speed, memory, and maintainability tradeoffs. Once everyone is aligned, we’ll get to work.

We address the identified performance issues—creating pull requests and merging fixes along the way. Should we have additional time within the contract period, we continue optimizing by prioritizing low-risk changes with high potential gains.

Our work is performed by industry experts and follow industry-standard best practices.

Once complete, we submit a final report containing the measured improvements made and all changes introduced.

Should any workflow changes be required, we provide detailed instructions (with screenshots). We also write up any additional recommendations.
